AquaShields was founded in 2024 by earmould technician Jordan Farrow, with a mission to deliver high-quality, custom-made hearing protection for those who need it most. Specializing in custom-fit earplugs, AquaShields combines cutting-edge technology with expert craftsmanship to provide earplugs that offer comfort, durability, and effective protection.

As a small business, AquaShields prides itself on delivering a personalized service, ensuring that each earplug is crafted to meet the specific needs of every customer.

Our Team

Our Process

At AquaShields, we use a combination of advanced technology and skilled craftsmanship to create custom hearing protection. The process begins when the customer’s ear impressions are sent to us by a professional audiologist. These impressions are then used to generate an accurate 3D scan, which forms the basis for the custom earplug design.

Once we have the 3D scan, we model it into a precise 3D earplug design, which is then cast into a printed form. The printed cast is injected with medical-grade silicone to ensure a durable, comfortable fit. Finally, Jordan personally hand-finishes each earplug to guarantee a perfect fit and optimal performance.

By integrating 3D scanning, modeling, medical-grade silicone casting, and expert hand-finishing, AquaShields ensures that every earplug is tailored to fit each individual’s unique ear shape, providing the highest level of comfort and protection.

Business Beginnings

AquaShields was founded in early 2024 with a mission to raise awareness about surfer’s ear and swimmer’s ear, helping water sports athletes protect their hearing and maintain ear health. Our focus is on crafting custom hearing protection that meets the unique needs of each person.

I’m excited to share this journey with you as we work toward offering the best in custom hearing protection.

APRIL, 2024

We Purchased Our Manufacturing Equipment

In April 2024 we finally received our 3D Scanner and 3D Printer enabling us to begin testing and building our manufacturing processes

JULY, 2024

We made our first sale!

Whilst operating as a one man team, after months of planning, purchasing the necessary equipment, building a website and all the necessary business infrastructure the business needed to operate; We finally had a range of swimming earplug products known as "AquaShields" and "AquaShields Pro" available in both an adults and a junior range.

Come July 2024 we had finally made our first sale to a local customer! A moment that felt like everything was starting

SEPTEMBER, 2024

Expanding our range

We have expanded our range of products and are now offering custom moulded sleeping earplugs and radio earpieces!

NOVEMBER, 2024

We are now partnering with Audiology / Hearing Care Clinics

We are now serving a wider audience by partnering with audiology and hear care clinics across the United Kingdom!

FEBRUARY, 2025

We Have Launched our Athletes and Ambassador Programs

We are proud to have launched programs from both "Athletes" and "Ambassadors" - Our aim with these programs is to be able to support more athletes by protecting their hearing as well as attempting to raise more awareness of surfer's ear and swimmer's ear.
